studied music in Munich, Budapest and Berlin, specialising in piano. Her tutors included Professor Karl-Hermann Mrongovius, Professor Làszló Baranyay and Professor Làszló Simon. In 1997 she discovered her love for piano arrangements for several hands and since then she can regularly be heard presenting works for six or eight hands in concerts in e.g. Berlin, Munich, Regensburg, Mülheim, Cologne, Potsdam, Coburg, Kronach, Merzig and Herdecke. She gathered experience along with her colleagues by participating in numerous master courses by O. Yablonskaja (New York), J. Silirala (Helsinki), N. Immelman (London) and Z. Kocsis (Budapest). Since 2005 she has been playing in the “Ensemble Pianistique”, a quartet of female pianists, which she founded.

Julia Spindler continually arranges famous orchestra works for her ensemble and concerts to suit her own instrumentation. She made her debut with an arrangement of “Carnival of the Animals” from Saint-Saens for two pianos and eight hands, which had its premiere on 14th.February 1998. In 1999 the overture to Glinka’s “Ruslan and Ludmilla” followed and in March 2001 her version of the “Moldau” from B. Smetana was performed in Regensburg for the first time. At the moment many projects are in production.
